SHADOW OF THE KING by Helen Hollick

Author Helen Hollock’s SHADOW OF THE KING is the final novel in the “Pendragon’s Banner Trilogy.” As with Books 1 and 2, I found myself unable to put this book down. Here, Ms. Hollick completes her story of King Arthur. It is a unique and creative version, without the magical or supernatural elements found in other books on the same subject.

THE KINGMAKING by Helen Hollick

I have always been drawn to all things Arthurian. In college I read Sir Thomas Malory’s extraordinary LE MORTE D’ARTHUR, and later really enjoyed T. H. White’s ONCE AND FUTURE KING, Mary Stewart’s series of novels, “The Arthurian Saga,” and Bernard Cornwell’s trilogy, “The Winter King.” The characters and worlds that the above authors created are magical, enchanting, and primarily based on folklore and myth.
